Program Costs

  • Housing + Meal Plan: 1,300,000 KRW per semester (around $940) for housing and 3 meals a day on weekdays
  • Health Insurance: 70,000 KRW per month (around $50) as required by South Korea
  • Scholarship: Dormitory Scholarship, Approx. 650,000 won (Regular dormitory fee: Approx. 1,300,000 won)
  • Job opportunity: Opportunities for students to participate in Part-Time Jobs, Hourly Wage Approx. 10,000 Won

Located in the heart of Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) is a prestigious public institution dedicated to excellence in education and research. JBNU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various fields, including humanities, sciences, engineering, and social sciences. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a strong emphasis on research, our students gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their chosen careers.

Students have the opportunity to study at JBNU for one semester or a full academic year, with courses available in both Korean and English. For exchange students, a variety of courses are taught in English to accommodate non-Korean speakers.

JBNU provides specialized Korean language courses tailored to international students at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels with additional fee. These courses, along with various English-taught classes, make it easier for non-Korean speakers to integrate and thrive academically.

JBNU offers on-campus dormitory facilities for exchange students. The dormitories feature twin rooms with essential amenities and include a meal plan providing three meals on weekdays.

Jeollabuk-do (Jeollabuk Province) is home to regions recognized by UNESCO. The Jeonju Hanok Village, located in Jeonju, the capital of Jeollabuk-do, is a notable cultural site. Additionally, the province is part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and traditional Korean cuisine.
