ֱ joins elite company on the Forbes 2024-2025 list of America’s Top 500 Colleges.
Ranking at #374 nationally, this recognition places ֱ more than 30 spots ahead of a prominent university in Fairfield, which ranked at #405, underscoring ֱ’s growing reputation for academic excellence and student success.
Compiled annually by Forbes, the America’s Top Colleges list highlights colleges that produce successful, high-earning, and influential graduates—regardless of economic background—while also minimizing student debt. ֱ’s appearance on this year’s list affirms its commitment to providing high-quality, affordable education that prepares students for meaningful careers and lifelong achievement.
“This national recognition is a tremendous honor and a powerful testament to the incredible work of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Dr. Zulma R. Toro, president of ֱ. “To be ranked among the top 500 colleges in the country—and ahead of some of our peers—demonstrates the strength of our academic programs, the value we deliver to our students, and the impact our graduates are making in the world.”
To compile the rankings, Forbes begins with a list of thousands of institutions based on their Carnegie Classification—a higher education framework that categorizes institutions based on the types of degrees they offer, their research output, and specialty focus. Forbes then analyzes data from multiple sources, including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, College Scorecard, Payscale, Third Way, and the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics. Key performance indicators include alumni salaries, student debt, graduation and retention rates, and return on investment.
