ÃûæÂÖ±²¥'s Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership prepares graduates to play an influential role as leaders in a public or private school organization. Our program meets the state requirements for the 092 Intermediate Building Administrator or Supervisor certification. This certification opens opportunities for educators to serve as department chairs, assistant principals, principals, directors, or assistant superintendents among other roles. We also offer a concentration in Special Education for those interested in deepening their understanding of administration for special education.
Students in the sixth-year program participate in a variety of engaging learning activities designed to connect coursework to the real-life experiences of educational leaders. Courses incorporate a variety of teaching and learning strategies and activities to foster collaboration and connection among class colleagues alongside the professional growth of each student. The program also includes a culminating internship to allow students to apply their growing understanding of leadership.
Our SYC in educational leadership program offers students the flexibility to select courses that allow them to participate in a hybrid program of courses with face-to-face and online course sessions, or a fully online program experience.
